Anabela Moreira


Anabela Moreira began her cinematographic career in Noite Escura by João Canijo (2003). She played the lead role in Mal Nascida (2007) for which she won the GDA Prize for Best Actress, Sangue Do Meu Sangue (2011), Fátima (2016), Diamantino (2018), O Último Banho (2018), and many more productions. She was the protagonist, researcher and screenwriter for É O Amor (2013). In cinema, she has worked with Carlos Conceição, Mayanne Von Ledebur, João Botelho, João Canijo, Gabriel Abrantes, Daniel Schmidt, Luke Eberl, Jacques Weber, Rita Nunes, João Seiça, among others.
Anabela has participated in several theatrical productions since 1999, among which is Persona by Ingmar Bergman (2010) and Chorar e Secar (2012). Since 2014 she has also taken to directing films, with two short films and two documentaries so far.
