Gradually, this small filming crew is accepted by the island's population, two people to add to a civilisation 500 years old, whose history is hardly discernible. Shot at a vertiginous pace throughout a few years, "It's the Earth not the Moon" develops as the logbook of a ship, which follow the contemporary life of a very small island civilisation isolated in the middle of the sea. A film-odissey, divided in 15 chapters, that combines anthropological records, literature, lost archives and mythological stories.

High above, a kestrel falcon hovers. It’s not the only bird of prey that can do it.
