The 4th edition of Frames - Portuguese Film Festival falls under the theme "Social Tales".
How do we speak about society and reveal its patterns? How does one expose inequality and discrimination? How does one portray a crisis whilst in the midst of it? For the first time the festival featured a competitive section where professional and amateur filmmakers submitted pieces that provoke, raise questions, trigger ideas and solutions to current social issues in society.
Among a total of 80 submissions, 11 films were selected for screening on the last day of the festival in Stockholm - 19 February. The jury decided on the winning director/producer, who has been awarded a monetary prize of 500 EUR and invited to be a member of the jury in Frames 2018 (travel and accommodation included).
