Cristèle Alves Meira

Cristèle Alves Meira is a French and Portuguese film and stage director. Her first documentary, Som & Morabeza, shot in Cape Verde, focused on immigration in the Portuguese-speaking community in Africa, through the prism of music and later through the Angolan youth in her subsequent documentary Born in Luanda. Following the release of Sol Branco, her first fiction short, Cristèle shot Campo de Víboras in Portugal, in the Tras-Os-Montes region, with which she won Best Short Film at the 2017 Competitive Section of Frames - Portuguese Film Festival.
